Profoundly intelligent girls who need more challengeing academics to meet their needs and goals will find a special place at Mary Baldwin College. This college is dedicated to young gifted women and will challenge them in many ways as they grow socially and academically through the high school years.

Mary Baldwin College's Program for the Exceptionally Gifted enriched my life in countless ways. Through challenging academic work and many extracurricular activities, I discovered talents I didn't know I had. I took risks intellectually and socially, pushing envelopes and ignoring cliques. I learned who I was as a gifted young woman and what I could contribute to a local community and to society at large. Mary Baldwin was a wonderful place for me: I felt empowered, respected, and safe, but I knew where my resources were when the going got tough. Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken" has special meaning for me and for many other young women. For us, PEG has made all the difference.

Going to PEG was one the best decisions I have ever made and it is a decision that I encourage everyone that is given the opportunity to consider.
