||Bard High School Early College (New York, NY)
||Simon's Rock College of Bard
||This alternative to the traditional high school is founded on the belief that many young people are ready and eager to do serious college work at age 16. It enables highly motivated students to move in four years from ninth grade through the first two years of college, earning the associate of arts (A.A.) degree as well as a high school diploma.

BHSEC is not part of Simon's Rock College. It is a wonderful school -- my daughter was part of the first graduating class (2003)and is now a senior a Bard College.

This is just to address a former comment...you do not need to live in just NYC to attend this school. I am from Virginia, and a very good high school friend went to Bard at age 16.

This school has brought together intelligent, friendly students and teachers, from all walks of life, into the same community. We are all able to learn from each other.
