Description: AGLOA is a non-profit organization formed in 1991 to encourage and conduct academic games competition at the local and national level. In academic games students try to outthink each other in the areas of mathematics, language arts, and social studies. Some games require a kit in which cubes are rolled and played on a board. Other games involve students answering questions read by a central reader. Currently, the games occur in only a limited number of states, but AGLOA encourages new communities to join.
