Since then, Phi Beta Kappa has evolved to become the nation's leading advocate for the liberal arts and sciences at the undergraduate level. Phi Beta Kappa fosters and promotes the liberal arts through the Scholarships and Awards is bestows upon those who have excelled in the liberal arts and sciences. This is done through fellowships, service awards and literary awards.
