Comments:	Contributed by: Parent on 3/26/2008 I am a parent of student currently attending Conserve School, I cannot say anything but positive things about the school, it's definetely challenging and as stated on other comments it's not for the lazy kids, you have be motivated. The school has excellent teachers that are there for the kids and the campus area is beautiful. I don't regret sending my daughter to Conserve School. If your bored here, you are most probably more interested in video games than taking in the experience. Excellent school for reaching your potential but if your are the type that needs to be told how to do it, not for you. Better to stay in a more directed learning environment. This school is for the talented but motivated student. Contributed by: Other on 2/2/2007 As an alumna of Conserve School, I can agree with most of the positive and negative comments made about the school. The school is still working to find its identity and niche. The initially recruited group of students seemed to have a higher standard than what they currently recruit. Personally, I would like to see a return to the higher admissions standards. I believe it can be a very healthy environment for a "gifted" student, as much as I dislike that term. The administration is frustrating, however, most students really do love Conserve. I can remember being disgruntled about the loss of some of my personal freedoms while attending, but I think with time the school will find its balance. Contributed by: Student on 11/27/2006 Not a school for gifted students. Academically and socially mature students will find themselves being suppressed. Mediocre student life program does nothing to alleviate the boringness of complete isolation. Administration is widely despised for enforcing draconian policies that would be better aimed at six-year-olds. Student morale is low and school spirit is virtually non-existent. That said, it is a beautiful campus and there are several amazing teachers. These two things will be the most fulfilling part of any Conserve School experience, provided you seek them out on your own. I enjoy the beautiful setting and the enrichment oppotunities my som receives here that he would not receive at a normal high school. I have been attending for 2 years and they offer amazing classes with more than qualified teachers. Contributed by: Parent on 9/9/2004 As a parent of a highly gifted child who attended for 2 years I have to say it's a wonderful setting, great facilities, and for the most part solid faculty but the bottom line is it's NOT a school for the gifted and the Head of School, Stephen Anderson, makes no bones about that. The youth of the program is also problematic as the small enrollment only allows for a limited range of curriculum. Great school for an average student - not so great for the gifted.
