Description: The Governor's School is a summer residential honors program for gifted high school seniors. Students from varied backgrounds and regions of Alabama interact with professors and professionals from many disciplines. The Governor's School offers stimulating academic and extra-curricular activities that stress fieldwork, problem-solving, and application. The academic spectrum of the arts, humanities, and sciences are explored to define the Alabama Governor's School theme: "American Vision: World View".

I attended AGS in June 2003 and gained a valuable look at college life. This experience introduced me to an exciting career and allowed me to have fun at the same time. I would highly recommend it to all Alabama students!
