Description: Colonization is a computer game that simulates the challenges that the colonists faced in North America. The game begins with the discovery of the New World by the Europeans and continues until the approximate time of the American Revolution. The user can assume the role of one of four European powers (Spanish, English, French or Dutch) that each have unique attributes that give the player specific advantages and disadvantages when playing the game. The object of the game is to create and expand colonies while managing various resources and competing with the other European powers and Native Americans in order to declare independence from the mother country.
