Right off the bat we were excited to see that my 9yo was accepted into the Algebra 1 course (we put him down as having completed 8th grade, using his correct birthdate). The course itself is not extremely challenging, except that it requires a lot of writing in the labs, etc. Our biggest problem with it is that the work is not graded immediately, so sometimes my son takes a quiz without realizing that he didn't fully grasp a concept (having not received the graded work). ALso, his instuctor is very "in the box" with his expectations and will only accept expected outcomes--even if my son's answers are correct albeit in terms of another variable, etc. My son does get to work at his own pace and has actually learned a few things--mostly how to try to adapt your responses to the expectations of others!!
