Although this is not meant to be an exhaustive list, anyone who has read all (or even most) of these books can count themselves among the well-read. The list is dominated by 19th and 20th century American authors, so there are some obvious ommissions if your sites are wider. However, the books and topics covered here are more than sufficient to broaden perspectives and educate readers in the English language. |
