Description: The Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and is one of the premier university museums in the country. The collections span the globe and the centuries. The Carlos maintains the largest collection of ancient art in the Southeast with objects from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Near East, and the ancient Americas. The Museum is home to collections of 19th and 20th-century sub-Saharan African art and European and American works from the Renaissance to the present. The Office of Educational Programs at the Michael C. Carlos Museum offers a wide variety of engaging programs for the Emory community, children and families, and students and teachers. Programs include lectures, concerts, tours, and workshops.
