Description:	The South Bay's only school for the gifted, grades 4-12, with a strong AP program and capacity to handle gifted and challenged children. Students get a classical education, which challenges them to read great books and ideas in each of the arts and sciences. The intellectual freedom and rigor encourage students to think critically and imaginatively as they develop character and leadership abilities; they will become mature adults who can solve the world's problems.
Comments:	Contributed by: Educator on 3/8/2005 Gifted students deserve their own schools because their intellectual and emotional makeup differs substantially from that of regular students. They deserve acceleration in specific subject areas leading to AP excellence and creative leadership. Contributed by: Educator on 9/14/2004 The School of Choice is a great place to give south San Francisco Bay students access to a WASC Candidate school for the gifted with a classical, AP oriented curriculum.
