Description: The TEAK Fellowship aims to help talented New York City students from low-income families gain admission to and succeed at top high schools and colleges. Students are eligible for admission to TEAK in the fall of their sixth grade year. Along with academic support, TEAK provides leadership training, exposure to the arts and outdoors, mentoring, career experience, and assistance with the high school and college application processes. If accepted, programming begins the summer after 6th grade and continues with intensive after-school and Saturday classes during the 7th grade year and beyond.
