Davidson Fellows - 2007 Library of Congress

The 2007 Davidson Fellows

On September 26, 2007, Bob Davidson honored five Davidson Fellow Laureates and 12 Davidson Fellows for their prodigious works in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Literature and Music.

During the seventh annual Davidson Fellows award ceremony at the Library of Congress, Bob Davidson, co-founder of the Davidson Institute, highlighted the importance of the students’ work, "As the world becomes increasingly competitive, the United States is falling behind other countries in research and development. This is exactly why our society needs to encourage students such as these. It’s not only the right thing to do for the students, it is the right thing to do for society. If we support their passion for knowledge and desire to achieve, there is no telling how far they can go."

In recognition of their extraordinary achievements, each of the 2007 Davidson Fellows were presented with an award by Bob Davidson and received either a $50,000, $25,000 or $10,000 scholarship.
