Frequently Asked Questions

Why will students take one class instead of two?

THINK is a rigorous, fast-paced program. We help setup students for success by having a high-level of support and daily structure made possible by a residential setting. With a shift to online, students will be required to be more self-directed in their learning, time management, and homework. Additionally, there are a certain number of instruction hours required for each course, and we want to help students avoid “Zoom fatigue,” so they can truly enjoy their experience mastering the subject matter and engaging with their instructor. Completing one college course in three weeks is a remarkable achievement!

Why is THINK not in person this year?

Many factors were part of this decision. It weighed heavily on us trying to balance the need for some normalcy and in-person connection while ensuring a safe and rewarding interactive experience. Given numerous constraints outside of our control presented by COVID, in addition to a wide variety of unknown factors affecting travel restrictions come summertime, we could not move forward with offering THINK in person as we had hoped would be possible when we began planning months ago.

Can I move 2021 acceptance to 2022?

No. In-person THINK will be starting "fresh" in 2022 and no places from 2020 or 2021 attendees will be reserved.

My student cannot attend during the live class time. Can they complete their class in the evenings?

No, students need to attend during the designated live class times in order to earn college credit.
