Davidson Young Scholars - Ambassador Program
One service available to students who are already Davidson Young Scholars is the Ambassador Program. (Visit the How to Apply page for information on how to become a Davidson Young Scholar.)
The purpose of the Ambassador Program is to foster learning and civic engagement through community service, volunteerism and leadership in highly motivated and mature Young Scholars. Ambassadors will develop, initiate and manage a significant community service project, as well as receive training and advisement on topics such as:
- Goal Setting and Proposal Writing
- Leadership and Values
- Interpersonal Communication
- Self Advocacy
- Public Relations and Media
- Website Design and Functionality
The Ambassador Program is an opportunity for Young Scholars to draw upon their unique skills and talents to make a positive difference in the lives of others. All Davidson Young Scholars are eligible to apply for the Ambassador Program.

A Parent’s Perspective:
We are very grateful for all you and everyone at Davidson have done. The Ambassador Program is truly an amazing learning opportunity for Johnny. He has learned so much from the experience that he can’t find on the books, and he continues to learn every day. The training was systematic and well planned. Most important of all is your personalized guidance with team support, even after the training. That has really made the difference and helped him gain much confidence. He is very fortunate to be able to enjoy working on something he is most passionate about.
