John's Story

Includes Young Scholars program and early college.

John's success is a simple story. He graduated from college this past spring at age 19 and returned the following week for a second degree. He lives with three other young men in an apartment complex for college students, partially supports himself by a job in a local department store, drives a bomber around town and has a large group of friends.

To me, his mother, this is the greatest success of all, that he has made it to adulthood and is a happy, engaging, independent and opinionated young man.

What he does with his life is entirely up to him and he loves being in the drivers seat. While I may not agree with or appreciate his fumbles, I am happy for him. The Davidson Institute had a huge part in his success and we appreciate all your organization did for John. This truly is the 'success' I always wanted for him, to live life totally.
