The program is free to apply to and open to families in all 50 states. Once a family is accepted into the Young Scholars program, they have access to a breadth of exclusive resources and events, both in-person and online. These include:
- An online community of parents who are traveling this path alongside you
- Webinars with experts in the field of gifted education and child development
- Group and one-on-one consulting based on the questions you have and the unique situations you are navigating with your family
- Social opportunities for young people based on interests, not only age
- Opportunities to gather and connect with like-minded peers, both for parents and students
The Young Scholars program is designed to be flexible and anticipate the unique needs of a gifted young mind. Families can choose their level of involvement as the needs of the Young Scholar evolve.

“The Young Scholars Ambassador Program has changed the way I look at the world positively. The seminars are what have helped me the most . . . These taught me how to become a better person and deeply influenced my thinking in terms of improving my charity.”

"DSP [Davidson Summer Programs] was very important to me, socially. Many of my best friends were made at DSP. Being surrounded by like-minded peers was truly a boon for me. While I had nothing against my age-peers back home, it was always apparent to me that I was slightly different to them. At DSP, I was essentially just a normal kid. I related to the students there much more and I became much closer to them because of it."
“Although a few years have passed since I aged out of the Young Scholars program, I will never forget everything the Davidson Institute has done for me and for my family. This group has given me the confidence to face even the toughest of challenges, and has made me both strong and proud of who I am. The strength of the other scholars is breathtaking, and I thank this group for teaching me so much.”

"Because of the help offered through the Young Scholars Program, we have been able to make informed and educated decisions and help guide our child to a place where he feels supported and excited about life and learning again."
