New Book Explores the Lives of Highly-Profoundly Gifted Individuals

November 2025 — The International Gifted Consortium (IGC), Research Center for Highly–Profoundly Gifted, has announced the upcoming release of Highly-Profoundly Gifted: Universal Understandings and Holistic Approaches, edited by Els De Wit and Vanessa Wood, Ph.D. The Davidson Institute is honored to be mentioned in this comprehensive new resource for families, educators, and professionals in the gifted community.

Set for release on December 1, 2025, this book brings together insights from psychologists, clinicians, educators, parents, and researchers who explore what it truly means to be highly or profoundly gifted. Through a holistic and cross-cultural lens, the editors and contributors examine developmental patterns, heightened sensitivities, and the lived experiences of individuals whose abilities and awareness extend far beyond the norm.

By weaving together research and real-world perspectives, Highly-Profoundly Gifted challenges readers to look beyond differences and recognize the shared human experiences that shape the lives of highly-profoundly gifted individuals.
