2024 Davidson Gifted Summer Programs Information Sessions

THINK

Looking for an engaging and rewarding summer program for your teen, ages 13 to 16? Learn more about the Davidson THINK Summer Institute! THINK is a three-week residential gifted summer program, located at the University of Nevada, Reno, and is designed to meet the needs of intellectually curious students. We provide social connections with academically motivated peers, dynamic courses to earn college credit, access to university resources, and memorable field trips and activities.

Kayla Lattin, Director of Summer Programs, provides information on the program schedule, 2024 course options, eligibility, the application process, and preparation for THINK. This session is helpful to both parents and students and is an hour long.

REACH

Looking for an engaging and rewarding summer program for your student, ages 11 to 13? Learn more about the Davidson REACH Summer Seminar! REACH offers students in the Young Scholars program an academically challenging 6-day residential experience amongst intellectual peers on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. Students select one of three academic areas of focus, which involves 4.5 days of instruction, hands-on learning, and project-based goals. Off-site and on-campus field trips occur each morning and social activities are hosted in the evenings.

STARS

A benefit of our Young Scholars program is the opportunity to attend the STARS Summer Camp. Designed for students ages 8-11, STARS Summer Camp provides Young Scholars the unique opportunity to attend a five-day residential summer program focused on supporting their academic and social needs. Our bright students get the chance to build independence through a fun, short experience away from home.
