    Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship Program
    Thermo Fisher Scientific offers future science scholars an opportunity to win $10,000 in scholarship funding. This scholarship was created to help provide educational opportunities for the future generation of scientists. Graduate students or undergraduate students must be enrolled in an accredited college to qualify for this scholarship. A pre-selected committee will award two $10,000 scholarships and four $5,000 scholarships among the candidates.

    The Leap offers gap year placements which combine multiple locations and volunteering project opportunities in a single trip. This means students challenge both their minds and bodies, while making a positive difference and satisfying their desire for travel and adventure, all at once.
    The Thiel Foundation
    This organization allows students under the age of 20 to pursue innovative scientific and technical projects, learn entrepreneurship, and begin to build the technology companies of tomorrow. During their two-year tenure, each Fellow will receive $100,000 from the Thiel Foundation as well as mentorship from the Foundation’s network of tech entrepreneurs and innovators.

    Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) Scholars (New York, NY and San Francisco, CA)
    SEO Scholars is an academic advocacy program based in New York City and San Francisco, which aims to motivate low-income public high school students to get to, and graduate from, competitive colleges and universities. High school students are offered classes on Saturdays, after school and during the summers to prepare them for college. Once in college, SEO Scholars are supported through direct, ongoing counseling to assist with adjusting to college life, building academic success skills, exploring career options and securing internships.

    Envision - Leadership, Scholarship and Career Programs
    For decades, Envision (formerly LeadAmerica) has been a home for students with high academic achievement and a desire to build a focused plan for their future. With programs for elementary, middle, high school and college students, Envision offers career, technology, and National Youth Leadership opportunities in a variety of subject areas. Activities mirror real-world challenges and facilitate critical thinking and communication among the groups. Many of students are nominated by teachers; others are selected via a national student talent identification program; and still others are selected by the Admissions Board based on GPA, test scores, and passion for a specific area of career or leadership interest.
    Health Care Professions Scholarship
    All50Medical.com provides scholarships in support of those seeking a career in healthcare. Each year, a prospective or current college student will be selected to receive a $1000 scholarship to help with the costs associated with attending school.
    Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP) Pathways to Science
    The mission of the Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP) is to increase diversity in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce. Pathways to Science is a project of IBP supporting pathways to the STEM fields: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This group places particular emphasis on connecting underrepresented groups with STEM programs, funding, mentoring and resources. Use their website to find programs such as undergraduate summer research opportunities, graduate fellowships, postdoctoral positions, as well as resources and materials pertaining to recruitment, retention, and mentoring.
    Marshall Scholarships
    At least 40 American graduate students each year are awarded this two-year scholarship, which covers the cost of their education in the United Kingdom. Applicants must be United States citizens and have completed any four year undergraduate degree with at least a 3.7 GPA.
    Parliament Tutors
    Parliament Tutors offers course help for every grade at every level. They provide private tutoring for over 100 different courses in mathematics, sciences, social studies, and more.
    Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program (REU)
    The National Science Foundation makes possible a number of opportunities for undergraduates to join research projects each summer. This allows students to experience first-hand how basic research is carried out, and to contribute consequentially. The principal support by NSF of such activities is through the Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program. REU "Sites" are established in all fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. Each Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates, who work in the research programs of the host institution. Students are in general accepted from throughout the country. Each student is assigned to a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty, post-docs, and graduate students. In addition, seminars, lunch meetings, and social functions are organized to facilitate interaction between the undergraduates. Students are granted stipends, and in some cases assistance with housing and travel.
    Roadtrip Nation
    This organization provides a diverse and relevant collection of career exploration resources showing young people the vast scope of careers and possibilities. It also provides mentorship opportunities.
    U.S. Intelligence Careers and Student Programs
    The U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) is a group of 17 federal intelligence agencies working together to protect the United States of America. This group focuses on an ever-expanding range of issues, from terrorist financing to drug trafficking, from climate change and environmental issues to foreign technology threats and nuclear proliferation. The IC offers students a wide variety of excellent programs to get a jumpstart on a career in intelligence, such as summer programs and internships.
    YouScience
    This organization is designed to give students impactful guidance to get focused on where they want to be. Proven science and algorithms encourage self-discovery and more confidence in post-secondary choices. By combining aptitudes (what you naturally do well) AND interests (what you like doing), YouScience is designed to match you to your best-fit personalized career path.

    QuestBridge is committed to providing personal growth opportunities for individuals who were selected as National College Match Finalists and matriculated into QuestBridge partner colleges. The organization provides a supportive community for Quest Scholars by furthering their access to academic, leadership, and social service opportunities, thereby narrowing the gap between talented low-income college students and their peers. Each QuestBridge chapter is founded upon a commitment to these ideals.

    Arthink/Funthink is a methodology/curriculum that applies fundamentals of the arts for original thinking and clear communication of ideas.     This is a series of math and language arts books in which each text is written in the style of a novel with a humorous story line.     The Accelerated Mathematics Studies (AMS) stream is a personalized program for exceptional students at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. This mathematics stream provides advanced students with the opportunity to complete a degree in mathematics in just three years.
    Beacon College (Leesburg, FL)
    Founded in 1989, Beacon College was the first institution of higher education in the country accredited to award bachelor degrees exclusively to students with learning disabilities, ADHD and other learning differences. The College is committed to student success, offering academic and personal support services that help each student achieve his or her goals.
    Brigham Young University (BYU) - Independent Study (Provo, UT)
    This is a distance education program offering more than 500 university, high school, junior high school and personal enrichment courses to people throughout the world. BYU is accredited as an institution by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Courses can be taken through a paper/pencil version or an online version. The student studies the materials, submits lessons, takes a final exam with a proctor or at a testing center, and receives a course grade that can be transferred to the school of their choice.
    Carnegie Mellon - Open Learning Initiative (Pittsburgh, PA)
    Open and free courses through Carnegie Mellon's Open Learning Initiative offers free access to various courses no charge. However, users do not receive credit and Carnegie Mellon does not provide any certification or verification of completion. Use the self-guiding materials and activities to learn at your own pace!     College of Creative Studies (CCS) at the University of California, Santa Barbara
    The mission of the College of Creative Studies (CCS) is to recruit the most talented and imaginative undergraduates, and provide them with the intellectual environment and advice that allows them to undergo the transition quickly from consumers of knowledge to colleagues in the act of human creativity in the arts and sciences. A former student once described the CCS as "a graduate school for undergraduates."
    CU Online - University of Colorado (Boulder, CO)
    This distance learning program offers the University of Colorado's catalog of online courses. More than 200 core curriculum, elective and professional development courses in a wide range of disciplines as well as several online degree programs and certificates are offered.
    Duke University Undergraduate Scholars and Fellows Program (NC)
    The Office of Undergraduate Scholars and Fellows was established in 1998 to provide a coordinated infrastructure for Duke University's premier undergraduate merit award programs. Scholars and fellows are selected from the top of the Duke undergraduate applicant pool; students do not apply directly for these particular merit awards. See specific programs for details.
    Harvard Extension School (Cambridge, MA)
    Harvard Extension School offers 100 online courses and a unique blend of traditional liberal arts and professional studies programs. Classes are offered to students students with various backgrounds and academic experience. The course tuition is the “lowest in the Boston area.”
    Matteo Ricci College (MRC) - Early College (Seattle, WA)
    Matteo Ricci College (MRC) located at Seattle University (SU) in Washington, integrates high school and university-level curriculum, allowing students to complete high school and college in six or seven years, rather than the traditional eight years. The curriculum is designed jointly by the student's high school and MRC/SU and is a traditional interdisciplinary curriculum. Upon completion of the program, students receive a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. This program is open to local high schools students.
    Open Yale Courses - Yale University (New Haven, CT)
    Open Yale Courses provides free and open access to a selection of introductory courses taught by distinguished teachers and scholars at Yale University. The aim of the project is to expand access to educational materials for all who wish to learn. All lectures were recorded in the Yale College classroom and are available in video, audio, and text transcript format. Registration is not required and no course credit is available.
    San Francisco Conservatory of Music (San Francisco, CA)
    The San Francisco Conservatory of Music is a private coeducational college located in San Francisco, California. As one of the most acclaimed programs in the nation for the study of music at the pre-college level, the Preparatory Division has provided the finest of musical training to generations of young people at every stage of development.
    The Eugene McDermott Scholars (Dallas, Texas)
    The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program at The University of Texas at Dallas is a selective undergraduate merit award. The McDermott Scholars Program covers all expenses of a four-year academic education at The University of Texas at Dallas. In addition, each McDermott Scholar receives a monthly stipend of at least $1400 to cover on-campus housing and other living expenses. Scholars also receive an annual book stipend of $1000.
    Applicants must apply to UT Dallas for consideration, have a 1450 or higher on SAT (Verbal and Math), or 33 or higher on the ACT, and be a first time college freshman.
    The Hollingworth Center - Teachers College, Columbia University (New York, NY)
    The Hollingworth Center, a program within the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University, is a service, research, and demonstration site. The Center is designed to provide internship and training opportunities for the gradute students of Teachers College, develop model programs in early childhood education, and offer enriched educational services for children, families, and educators. Primarily concerned with nuturing the talent development of all young children, the Center maintains a special commitment to creating and implementing programs for underserved children and teachers in urban schools, and designing model curricula in areas traditionally neglected in elementary schools.
    The Juilliard School - Pre-College Division (New York, NY)
    Juilliard's Pre-College Division offers a thorough and comprehensive program of music instruction for talented young people who show the potential to pursue a professional career in music. It meets on Saturdays for 30 weeks between September and May. Students accepted into the division have demonstrated their abilities at an early age, along with outstanding capabilities to work with focus and purpose. At the School, these young musicians enjoy an atmosphere where their artistic gifts and technical skills can grow and flourish.
    University College at Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX)
    Texas Tech University offers educational programs to K-12 and college students, professionals and those seeking lifelong learning opportunities. Texas Tech’s distance learning programs enable students to pursue educational goals while providing the flexibility needed to maintain professional and personal commitments.
    Washington University in St. Louis - Academic Scholarship and Fellowship Programs (St. Louis, MO)
    Washington University in St. Louis is committed to helping talented students who show exceptional academic performance and outstanding promise. The Academic Scholarship and Fellowship Programs offer financial assistance based solely on academic achievement. Scholarships and fellowships are awarded through special competitions. Recipients generally score in the top ranges on the SAT I’s or ACT’s. Most are in the top 10 percent of their high school classes and have followed an extremely rigorous curriculum.

    HEROES Academy offers accelerated academic enrichment for gifted and talented students ages 6 to 17 in mathematics and language arts. All classes at HEROES focus on developing problem solving and critical thinking skills. Unlike many academic programs, HEROES places students into classes based on their tested math and reading ability rather than age or grade level in school. This allows each student to be appropriately challenged in the classroom. HEROES also offers academic evaluations and consulting services for gifted children.
    James Dyson Foundation
    The James Dyson Foundation focuses on improvement of problem solving skills for young engineers through the use of design and hands on experience. The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. The Award is open to current and recent design engineering students.
    North Cedar Academy (Ladysmith, WI)
    This dual enrollment private high school offers motivated and committed American and International students in grades 9 through 12 the opportunity to graduate from high school with an Associate in Arts (AA) degree from the University of Wisconsin Colleges (UWC) and high school diploma simultaneously. To achieve this, students don’t do twice the work, they simply receive both high school and college credit for each successful college course completion.
    Southern California Institute of Architecture (Los Angeles, CA)
    SCI-Arc is a center of innovation and one of the nation's few independent architecture schools, offering undergraduate and graduate programs. The school is dedicated to educating architects who will imagine and shape the future.

    eIMACS - e-Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science
    eIMACS, the distance learning division of the Institute for Mathematics & Computer Science (IMACS), is dedicated to delivering the highest quality interactive math and computer science classes for gifted and talented secondary school students. University-level, online courses include Advanced Mathematical Logic, University Computer Science, AP Computer Science, and Test Prep for the AP Computer Science and AP Calculus exams. eIMACS is based in Plantation, Florida, and serves students from across the US and around the world, including homeschoolers, students without access to AP Computer Science, and students who want to study advanced math and computer science at their own pace. For high school level courses for talented middle school-aged children, consider Elements of Mathematics: Foundations (EMF).
    J. Craig Venter Internship Program (Rockville, MD and San Diego, CA)
    JCVI provides students (high school through graduate) and educators opportunities to be a part of groundbreaking science. The Institute offers a summer internship program that begins each May and ends in August. The internships run between 8-12 weeks (college internships begin in May; high school begin in June). Internship positions are posted on our career page starting in February of each year.

    Broadreach is a world leader in educational adventure travel camps for teenagers with more than 35 trips to more than 30 countries.     Mini-Med Summer Camp, Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA)
    This three week day camp through Drexel University College of Medicine is open to eligible high school seniors or college freshman. The program allows students who are considering medical school to experience what it might be like to be a doctor. Students observe medical procedures, shadow physicians, and participate in medical simulations.
    University of Virginia Summer Session (Charlottesville, VA)
    Each summer the University of Virginia offers a rich selection of courses to over four thousand students through its Summer Session. Summer Session students have access to an array of support services and extra-curricular activities. The mission of the University's Summer Session is to supplement academic year course offerings, to facilitate fulfillment of undergraduate and graduate degree requirements, and to extend access to the resources of the University of Virginia to students enrolled at other colleges or universities, rising high school juniors and seniors, and lifelong learners. A number of special two-week programs are offered in addition to the internationally known Summer Language Institute (SLI), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, and UVa Advance, a four-week residential program for talented high school students (rising juniors and seniors.)

    Syracuse University Summer College offers high school students the opportunity to explore their passions and experience college life for one to six weeks with over 40 credit and noncredit pre-college programs. These programs are for high school students aged 15-19.

    UCLA Theater Pre-College Summer Institutes (Los Angeles, CA)
    The UCLA Theater Department offers pre-college students from around the globe an immersive, challenging, nurturing and exciting opportunity to engage and learn in a variety of theater arts. The immersive programs include credit-granting coursework, holistic training, an inspiring environment with our award-winning faculty, and unique creative artistic experiences.

    School of Cinematic Arts Summer Program, University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA)
    The School of Cinematic Arts Summer Program offers 30 classes each summer that cover filmmaking, screenwriting, computer graphics, animation, and film and television business. The courses are full semester courses covered in five weeks. Minors, ages 16 and 17, are welcome to apply, and are required to live on-campus if from out of state.
    Stanford Jazz Immersion Programs (CA)
    Founded in 1972, Stanford Jazz Workshop (SJW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to jazz education and appreciation. For nearly four decades, SJW has been bringing the best jazz performers and educators together with students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, in two summer programs: the Stanford Jazz Festival and the Stanford Jazz Camp and Jazz Residency.
