    Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
    The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program establishes lottery-funded scholarships to reward Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement.
    GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship
    This scholarship rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education. Each year, roughly 20 scholars will receive a $10,000 award, renewable for three additional years – totaling $40,000 per recipient.
    Imagine Cup
    This competition allows students to team up with friends or fellow developers to enter world-changing software innovations in the U.S. Imagine Cup.
    Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF)
    Held annually in May, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition, providing an annual forum for more than 1,700 high school students from over 70 countries, regions, and territories to showcase their independent research and compete for about $5 million in awards in 17 categories.
    Junior Science and Humanities Symposia (JSHS) Program - Belin-Blank at University of Iowa (Iowa City, IA)
    The Junior Science and Humanities Symposia program seeks to encourage and recognize original research in the STEM fields done by Iowa high school students. Students in grades nine through 12, in the state of Iowa, can submit original research findings for a chance to win scholarships and participate in the Symposia.
    Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Initiative
    InvenTeams are teams of high school students, teachers, and mentors that receive grants up to $10,000 each to invent technological solutions to real-world problems. Each InvenTeam chooses its own problem to solve. InvenTeam students rely on inquiry and hands-on problem solving as they apply lessons from science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to develop invention prototypes. Science, math and technology educators at high schools and nonprofit educational organizations are eligible to apply.
    Leta Hollingworth Scholarship (Nebraska)
    Offered by the Nebraska Association for the Gifted, this scholarship consists of a cash award to a graduating senior in the state. The recipient must have distinguished him or herself through outstanding achievement, accomplishment, or unusual ability.
    NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge
    In this academic competition, teams of students in grades 9-12 design, construct, and test technologies for mobility devices to perform in different extraterrestrial environments. They then compete with other teams at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL, where first-, second-, and third-place winning teams receive $3,000, $1,000, and $500, respectively.
    Providian Medical Scholarship
    This scholarship, sponsored by Providian Medical, is designed to help students achieve their educational goals with this biannual $500 scholarship. Applicants must submit an original essay of up to 1,500 words that describes how medical equipment technology has changed the face of a college course and curriculum. Entries can also include a look toward the future and how this area of study will continue to evolve and advance. Applicants must be age 16 or older and either in your final year of high school or enrolled at the undergraduate level in “good standing”.
    Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship Program
    Thermo Fisher Scientific offers future science scholars an opportunity to win $10,000 in scholarship funding. This scholarship was created to help provide educational opportunities for the future generation of scientists. Graduate students or undergraduate students must be enrolled in an accredited college to qualify for this scholarship. A pre-selected committee will award two $10,000 scholarships and four $5,000 scholarships among the candidates.
    U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize

    The Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) is the world's most prestigious youth award for a water-related science project. The prize taps into the unlimited potential of today's high school students as they seek to address current and future water challenges. The competition is open to any high school student in grades 9-12, and are 15 years of age by August 1stof the competition year. All research papers must be uploaded online no later than April 15th of each year to compete in their state’s competition. All state winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the SJWP National Competition. The national winner will receive $10,000 and an all-expenses paid trip to Stockholm, Sweden to participate in the SJWP International Competition.

    James T. Webb Scholarship for Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG) Conference
    The James T. Webb Scholarship currently extends the opportunity for identified gifted and talented students from minority populations and their parents to participate in the SENG Annual Conference. Students attend the program for children or teens. Parents attend concurrent adult sessions.
    Quaqua Protege Award
    The Quaqua Protégé Award recognizes the most outstanding college-bound home-educated students in the world. As funds permit, other general and talent-specific awards are also given.
    The Rhodes Scholars
    Rhodes Scholars are elected for two years of study at the University of Oxford, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. All educational costs, such as matriculation, tuition, laboratory and certain other fees, are paid on the Scholar's behalf by the Rhodes Trustees. Each Scholar receives in addition a maintenance allowance adequate to meet necessary expenses for term-time and vacations. The Rhodes Trustees cover the necessary costs of travel to and from Oxford, and upon application, may approve additional grants for research purposes or study-related travel.
    The Thiel Foundation
    This organization allows students under the age of 20 to pursue innovative scientific and technical projects, learn entrepreneurship, and begin to build the technology companies of tomorrow. During their two-year tenure, each Fellow will receive $100,000 from the Thiel Foundation as well as mentorship from the Foundation’s network of tech entrepreneurs and innovators.
    Travel Access Project (TAP) - Gap Year Programs
    Travel Access Project (TAP) offers a variety of Gap Year Programs including the opportunity to receive a grant to offset the costs associated with taking a Gap Year. These grants are not tied to any particular program, so anyone planning to take a Gap Year can apply. Recipients receive student membership in the Gap Year Association, a travel backpack from Tortuga Backpacks, and access to support and discounts from partner organizations. Applications are opened in early spring. Max award: $3000.
    Wright Foundation for Transformational Leadership
    The Wright Foundation for Transformational Leadership promotes the study, development, expanding recognition, and impact of transformational leadership. The Foundation funds graduate research, transformational leadership awards, educational loans, scholarships, and symposia to support the development and dissemination of cutting-edge, forward-thinking human performance technology, philosophy, and methodology.

    Prep for Prep
    Prep for Prep develops ethical and effective leaders who reflect our diverse society for the enduring benefit of all. Prep identifies talented students from minority group backgrounds, prepares them for placement in independent schools, and provides a sense of community, peer support, critical post-placement services, and a range of leadership development opportunities.

    American Mensa, Ltd.
    As an organization, American Mensa provides intelligent individuals an opportunity to meet other smart people at the local, regional, and national levels. Mensans interact at entertaining events and exchange ideas through a variety of publications. Mensa members also work to help others in their communities by providing scholarships and volunteering for community-oriented activities. Scholarships are offered at the local, regional, and national level to students who will be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited American institute of post-secondary education.
    Anne Ford Scholarship
    The National Center for Learning Disabilities, Inc. (NCLD) offers this $10,000 scholarship annually to one high school senior with an identified learning disability (LD) who plans to pursue an undergraduate degree. Check the website for applicant qualifications and deadlines. Some qualifications include financial need and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
    AXA Achievement Scholarship
    The AXA Achievement Scholarship in association with U.S. News & World Report provides $670,000 in annual scholarships to young people throughout the nation. Winners from each state, are selected by their nonprofit partner, Scholarship America, to receive one-time scholarship awards of $10,000 each. From the pool of state winners, ten are selected as national winners and earn an additional one-time scholarship of $15,000, as well as a new computer for school.
    Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
    Established by Congress in 1986 to foster and encourage excellence in science and mathematics, the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation is designed to provide opportunities for American undergraduate students with excellent academic records and outstanding potential. Scholarships support study in the fields of mathematics, engineering and the natural sciences as career preparation. Each award covers eligible expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 per year. Goldwater Scholars are eligible for up to two years of support.
    Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship
    The mission of IEA's Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship (CDB) is to identify exceptionally gifted middle school students who exhibit advanced intellectual talent and have the ability to demonstrate academic and personal excellence. These exceptional students are granted a scholarship to a high school where they can actualize their intellectual and personal potential. This prestigious award offers scholarship support, academic guidance and the opportunity to develop lifelong connections with a unique peer network.
    Davidson Fellows Scholarships
    The Davidson Fellows scholarship program recognizes outstanding achievements of profoundly gifted young people who have developed their talents by contributing a significant piece of work in one of these submission areas: Mathematics, Science, Technology, Music, Literature, Philosophy or Outside the Box.     Fulbright Student Program - Institute of International Education
    Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills. Sponsored by the United States Department of State, Fulbright provides funds for students, scholars and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
    GreenPal Business Scholarship
    The purpose of The GreenPal Small Business Scholarship is to assist a motivated, driven student and future business leader. For students who currently run a small business while attending college or have a small business idea to start while attending college, review the criteria for the GreenPal scholarship. The scholarship is $2,000 paid equally over four semesters. This scholarship will be renewed each year with a new winner. Each winner will receive four awards of $500 for each semester completed.
    Health Care Professions Scholarship
    All50Medical.com provides scholarships in support of those seeking a career in healthcare. Each year, a prospective or current college student will be selected to receive a $1000 scholarship to help with the costs associated with attending school.
    Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
    The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is a private, independent foundation, established by Jack Kent Cooke to help exceptionally promising students reach their full potential through education. The Foundation offers financial support to qualified applicants through the Young Scholars Program with students applying in their 7th grade year. The foundation has launched an undergraduate college scholarship for high-performing high school seniors.
    Jacob J. Javits Fellowships Program
    This program from the Department of Education provides financial aid to graduate students. It is available to applicants who show superior academic ability, achievement, and financial need, and those undertaking graduate study that will lead to a doctoral degree or a master's degree in which the master's degree is the terminal highest degree in the selected field of study.
    Joyce Ivy Foundation
    This nonprofit organization is committed to the academic advancement and leadership development of young women from the Midwest. The Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars program provides scholarships for talented high school women from the Midwest to participate in summer academic programs on the campuses of college partners. The Joyce Ivy Foundation College Admissions Symposium brings together students, families, educators and admissions officers to exchange critical information about applying to — and paying for — college. Their Mentoring Circles are a chance for Scholars and alumnae to connect with mentors and one another. Their reports contribute to national debates about college access.
    MacArthur Fellows Program
    The MacArthur Fellows Program awards unrestricted fellowships to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction. There are three criteria for selection of Fellows: exceptional creativity, promise for important future advances based on a track record of significant accomplishment, and potential for the fellowship to facilitate subsequent creative work.
    Malone Family Foundation
    The Malone Family Foundation was founded in 1997 by Dr. John C. Malone and his family, with one principal objective: to improve access to quality education -- particularly at the secondary school level -- for gifted students who lack the financial resources to best develop their talents. Through the Malone Scholars Program, the Foundation has provided scholarship endowments to select independent secondary schools throughout the United States, insuring continuing scholarships for top students who are motivated to excel but lack the resources to fund such an education. Malone network schools have been selected through a rigorous research process, and the schools themselves select Malone scholars annually. The Malone Schools Online Network (MSON) is a consortium of Malone schools that provides upper level students (generally juniors and seniors) at participating schools with a variety of superior online courses that enhance each member school's existing curriculum.
    Marshall Scholarships
    At least 40 American graduate students each year are awarded this two-year scholarship, which covers the cost of their education in the United Kingdom. Applicants must be United States citizens and have completed any four year undergraduate degree with at least a 3.7 GPA.
    Mensa Education and Research Foundation
    Funded by American Mensa and other charitable donations, the Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a philanthropic, non-profit organization committed to the pursuit of excellence in the areas of intelligence. The Mensa Education & Research Foundation college scholarship program bases its awards totally on essays written by the applicants. Consideration is not given to grades, academic program or financial need.
    National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society
    "The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS and NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character."
    National Honor Society Scholarships
    The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS and NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929.
    National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)
    This independent not-for-profit organization conducts privately financed annual competitions for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship Program. High school students enter the Merit Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQTTM and by meeting published entry/participation requirements.
    National Society for the Gifted & Talented (NSGT) Board of Trustees Scholarship (Stamford, CT)
    The National Society for the Gifted & Talented (NSGT) Board of Trustees Scholarship is given each year to outstanding students who demonstrate excelled ability in their field of interest. Previous student applications included requests to attend gifted summer, online, and weekend programs.
    The scholarship may be used to help pay tuition for any gifted, leadership, or foreign language and cultural programs as long as such programs further the goals of gifted education. Individual projects such as scientific and research studies are eligible for scholarships and must contain a budget for equipment, supplies, with oversight from an educator or organization. All scholarship money is given directly to the program, organization or academic advisor.
    Open Meadows Foundation: Grants for Projects that Benefit Women & Girls
    Run by volunteers, OMF is a grant-making organization whose goals are to fund programs that promote building community power and reflect the diversity of the community. They choose to support programs that are led by and benefit women and girls who have limited financial access or have encountered obstacles in their search for funding. Maximum Award: $2000.

    QuestBridge
    QuestBridge is a non-profit program that links bright, motivated low-income students with educational and scholarship opportunities at some of the nation's best colleges. QuestBridge is the provider of the National College Match Program and the College Prep Scholarship.
    Robertson Scholars Program
    The Robertson Scholars Program provides a full tuition scholarship to 36 students a year – 18 at Duke and 18 at UNC Chapel Hill. Students selected as Robertson Scholars have access to all the resources at both universities, incredible leadership opportunities, mentorships and study abroad opportunities.
    The College Board
    The College Board is a national nonprofit membership association whose mission is to prepare, inspire, and connect students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, the association is composed of more than 4,300 schools, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations.
    The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS)
    The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) selects 1,000 talented students to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. They provide Gates Millennium Scholars with personal and professional development through leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college career.
    The National Society of High School Scholars
    The mission of this organization is to recognize academic excellence among high-achieving students from around the world and inspire them to reach their full potential. NSHSS is helping to advance the goals and aspirations of high-achieving students through unique learning experiences, scholarships, internships, international study and peer networks. At each step along the way – from high school to college to career – NSHSS connects outstanding young scholars with the resources they need to develop their strengths and pursue their passions.
    The NEA Foundation
    The NEA Foundation provides grants to improve the academic achievement of students in U.S. public schools and public higher education institutions in any subject area(s). The proposed work should engage students in critical thinking and problem solving that deepen their knowledge of standards-based subject matter. The work should also improve students’ habits of inquiry, self-directed learning, and critical reflection. Proposals for work resulting in low-income and minority student success with honors, advanced placement, or other challenging curricula are particularly encouraged.
    The Purpose Challenge
    Scientific evidence makes it clear that a strong sense of purpose—a personal commitment to a meaningful goal that is of consequence to the wider world—is linked to improved health, well-being, and success. The Purpose Challenge is a free online toolkit aimed at high school students in the process of applying to college. They also offer a contest in which participants write a college essay based on what they have learned from the Purpose Challenge toolkit for a chance to win money for college.
    World of 7 Billion
    This national program provides a strong emphasis on curriculum and professional development for K-12 educators, focusing on human population issues. Since 1975, the program has developed age-appropriate curricula to complement students’ science and social science instruction about human population trends and their impacts on natural resources, environmental quality and human well-being. The organization also offers a Student Video Contest about human population growth that highlights a global challenge.
    YoungArts
    YoungArts recognizes artistically accomplished students, ages 15 to 18 or grades 10 to 12, in the areas of performing, visual, literary and design arts. There are 700 national winners each year with awards totaling more than $500,000.
    Youth Service America
    This is a resource center that partners with thousands of organizations committed to increasing the quality and quantity of volunteer opportunities for young people, ages 5-25, to serve locally, nationally, and globally. Founded in 1986, YSA’s mission is to expand the impact of the youth service movement with communities, schools, corporations, and governments. YSA also provides information and applications for incentives such as grants, awards and stipends.

    Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) Scholarships
    In the summer of 2000, Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) formed the Arizona Homeschool Scholarship Committee (AHSC). AFHE has two different opportunities for the scholarship seeker. These college scholarships are available for students who have been homeschooled in Arizona. Applicants do not have to attend college in Arizona.

    Boettcher Foundation Scholarship (CO)
    This privately endowed grant-making organization has been dedicated to providing scholarships to residents of Colorado since 1937. Qualified applicants must have lived in Colorado for at least two years, are planning to attend a Colorado institution of higher education and have high scholastic ability. The opportunity to earn a full tuition scholarship that includes a living and book stipend is amazing!
    Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program
    Through Georgia's Education Expense Credit, the GOAL Scholarship Program provides thousands of children throughout the Peach State with Greater Opportunities for Access to Learning – "GOAL."
    Massachusetts Association for Gifted Education (MAGE) - Nicholas Green Award
    The recipient of the Nicholas Green Award will receive money towards participation in an enrichment program (i.e., summer camp, online course, etc.) of his/her choice. Funding to defray the costs of the program will be a maximum of $500. This scholarship depends on the donations of sponsors. More than one award may be given.
    Michigan Merit Award and MEAP Information (MI)
    The Michigan Merit Award provides $2,500 to high school graduates for outstanding performance on their Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) tests. About 49,000 high school graduates earn the award each year.
    Michigan Tuition Incentive Program (MI)
    This is a high school completion program that offers to pay for the first two years of college and beyond for identified students who graduate from high school or complete their GED before age 20.
    Quest Scholars Network (Palo Alto, CA)
    QuestBridge is committed to providing personal growth opportunities for individuals who were selected as National College Match Finalists and matriculated into QuestBridge partner colleges. The organization provides a supportive community for Quest Scholars by furthering their access to academic, leadership, and social service opportunities, thereby narrowing the gap between talented low-income college students and their peers. Each QuestBridge chapter is founded upon a commitment to these ideals.
    Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship (GA)
    The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship is a $1,500 award renewable for up to three years which will be made, contingent upon receipt of a federal grant, to an equal number of graduating seniors or equivalents in each congressional district, which represents equitable geographic distribution of the State of Georgia.
    Truman State University - List of Competitive Scholarships (Kirksville, MO)
    Located in Kirksville, Missouri, Truman State University does not require a separate scholarship application for Competitive Scholarships, saving families the time and the hassle of finding a scholarship the student qualifies for. All materials submitted with a student's application for admission are reviewed in the competitive scholarship selection process. Scholarship consideration is given to domestic candidates who apply for admission by December 1.

    The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program at The University of Texas at Dallas is a selective undergraduate merit award. The McDermott Scholars Program covers all expenses of a four-year academic education at The University of Texas at Dallas.
