    Ralph Waldo Emerson Prize
    An award given to a student whose essay shows "outstanding academic promise at the secondary level."
    Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards
    "The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have provided an avenue for young artists and writers, in grades 7–12, to receive recognition and rewards for their creative achievements since 1923. By acknowledging the visions and voices of emerging artists and writers, The Awards have helped nurture eight decades of promising talent by providing recognition, cash awards and college scholarships."
    The Partnership for Americas Future, Inc. (OH)
    The Partnership for America's Future Inc. is looking for some creative students (K-12). Enter any idea for a new way to demonstrate an educational concept, or an idea for a new product (or an improvement for an existing product or procedure). The best student idea in each division (K-8 and 9-12) each month wins $100!!
    Young Naturalist Awards
    The Young Naturalist Awards, sponsored by the American Museum of Natural History, is an inquiry based research competition for students in grades 7-12. Twelve winners receive cash awards and an expense-paid trip to New York City.

    Quaqua Protege Award
    The Quaqua Protégé Award recognizes the most outstanding college-bound home-educated students in the world. As funds permit, other general and talent-specific awards are also given.

    Davidson Fellows Scholarships
    The Davidson Fellows scholarship program recognizes outstanding achievements of profoundly gifted young people who have developed their talents by contributing a significant piece of work in one of these submission areas: Mathematics, Science, Technology, Music, Literature, Philosophy or Outside the Box. For eligibility and deadline information, please visit the Davidson Fellows website.
    Fulbright Student Program - Institute of International Education
    Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills. Sponsored by the United States Department of State, Fulbright provides funds for students, scholars and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
    MacArthur Fellows Program
    The MacArthur Fellows Program awards unrestricted fellowships to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction. There are three criteria for selection of Fellows: exceptional creativity, promise for important future advances based on a track record of significant accomplishment, and potential for the fellowship to facilitate subsequent creative work.
    Mensa Education and Research Foundation
    Funded by American Mensa and other charitable donations, the Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a philanthropic, non-profit organization committed to the pursuit of excellence in the areas of intelligence. The Mensa Education & Research Foundation college scholarship program bases its awards totally on essays written by the applicants. Consideration is not given to grades, academic program or financial need.
    National German Testing and Awards Program
    Each year the AATG writes a test to assess proficiency in German. Teachers nationwide can offer the exam to their students. The awards program has been around for 30 years and about 25,000 students take the exam each year.
    National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society
    "The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS and NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character."
    National Honor Society Scholarships
    The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS and NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929.
    Presidential Scholars
    Established in 1964 by Executive Order of the President, the United States Presidential Scholars Program recognizes and honors America's most distinguished graduating seniors. Annually, up to 141 students are chosen from among outstanding high school students and invited to Washington in June for National Recognition Week.
    The Congressional Award
    The Congressional Award is the U.S. Congress' award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all 14- to 23-year-olds. Participants earn Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Certificates and Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas: Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.
    Young Entrepreneur Award
    The NFIB Young Entrepreneur program was established to raise awareness among the nation's youth of the critical role that private enterprise and entrepreneurship play in the building of America. Since 2003, the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation has awarded 1,954 scholarships to graduating high school seniors totaling $2,122,000.

    NCWIT Aspirations in Computing
    NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) provides a long-term community for female technologists, from K-12 through higher education and beyond, encouraging persistence in computing through continuous engagement and ongoing encouragement at each pivotal stage of their educational and professional development. The organization also offers a NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing, which builds a talent pool for the growing technical workforce and helps academic and corporate organizations celebrate diversity in computing by honoring young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing; leadership ability; academic history; and plans for post-secondary education.

    Massachusetts Association for Gifted Education (MAGE) - Nicholas Green Award
    The recipient of the Nicholas Green Award will receive money towards participation in an enrichment program (i.e., summer camp, online course, etc.) of his/her choice. Funding to defray the costs of the program will be a maximum of $500. This scholarship depends on the donations of sponsors. More than one award may be given.
    Michigan Merit Award and MEAP Information (MI)
    The Michigan Merit Award provides $2,500 to high school graduates for outstanding performance on their Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) tests. About 49,000 high school graduates earn the award each year.

    James Dyson Foundation
    The James Dyson Foundation focuses on improvement of problem solving skills for young engineers through the use of design and hands on experience. The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. The Award is open to current and recent design engineering students.

    Math Prize for Girls
    Sponsored by Advantage Testing Foundation as the largest monetary math prize for girls in the world, Math Prize for Girls is a math competition targeting high school girls who excel in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM). The goal is to encourage young women with exceptional potential to become the mathematical and scientific leaders of tomorrow.

    The ASCAP Foundation
    The ASCAP Foundation is dedicated to nurturing the music talent of tomorrow, preserving the legacy of the past and sustaining the creative incentive for today's creators through a variety of educational, professional, and humanitarian programs and activities which serve the entire music community. The ASCAP Foundation also provides various awards and scholarships to talented musicians of all ages.
