Davidson Summer Programs: Tuition and Fees

Program Fee Details

Program fees cover the deposit, room & board (including linens), program materials, and all planned activities. Transportation to and from the program is not covered or provided by the program. A non-refundable deposit per participant is required to secure your participant’s space in the program – due within 24 hours after their acceptance notification. For Summer 2027, an exclusive $25 tuition discount will be offered for returning 2026 DSP participants whose families completed the 2026 parent survey prior to the deadline. This discount will be applied to your participant’s remaining fees, and the full deposit will still be due 24 hours after acceptance. All remaining tuition fees will be due April 9, 2027. If you have not paid your students’ tuition fees by the spring deadline, your credit card on file will be automatically charged on April 12, 2027.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

All program fees, including deposits and tuition, are non-refundable. In cases where enrollment is cancelled prior to March 5, 2027, a partial refund may be offered if we are able to fill the spot with someone from the waitlist. This courtesy will be extended on a case-by-case basis and is not a guarantee. Any plans to cancel enrollment or otherwise not attend the program after being enrolled, must be submitted in writing via email to Summer@davidsongifted.org.

Early Dismissal or Departure Refunds

Participants who are fully enrolled but are unable to attend and/or check-in, as well as those departing and/or dismissed early from camp, no matter the reason, are subject to a complete loss of fees. Funds are not able to be transferred to other Davidson programs. Early dismissals or departures due to medical reasons are subject to complete loss of fees depending on the circumstances and time spent at camp. Refunds are not available for loss of programming or changes to programming made to safely accommodate any medical concerns. Additionally, students who have departed and/or are dismissed early from camp, no matter the reason, are unable to return to camp.

Financial Assistance

**The Financial Assistance window for Summer 2027 is now open.**

The Davidson Institute provides financial assistance (FA) to Young Scholar families who demonstrate financial need for DSP. FA may be available to help defer a portion of program fees and/or transportation expenses. Please keep in mind that the Davidson Institute has seen an increase in the number of families applying and qualifying for FA; therefore, we must prioritize the distribution of funds we have available to assist families. FA awards never cover 100% of any expense. Should your family need FA for your participant to attend the program, please email Summer@davidsongifted.org to request further information on how to apply.

The FA process can take some time, and we encourage you to have your application completed prior to submitting your DSP application.
