Refund/Cancellation Policy

All program fees, including deposits and tuition, are non-refundable. In cases where enrollment is cancelled prior to March 7, 2025, a partial refund may be offered if we are able to fill the spot with someone from the waitlist. This courtesy will be extended on a case-by-case basis and is not a guarantee. Any plans to cancel enrollment or otherwise not attend the program after being enrolled, must be submitted in writing via email to Summer@davidsongifted.org.

Early Dismissal or Departure Refunds

Participants who are fully enrolled but are unable to attend and/or check-in, as well as those departing and/or dismissed early from camp, no matter the reason, are subject to a complete loss of fees.  Early dismissals or departures due to medical reasons are subject to complete loss of fees depending on the circumstances and time spent at camp. Refunds are not available for loss of programming or changes to programming made to safely accommodate any medical concerns. Additionally, students who have departed and/or are dismissed early from camp, no matter the reason, are unable to return to camp.

Financial Assistance

The Davidson Institute provides financial assistance (FA) to Young Scholar families who demonstrate financial need for DSP. FA may be available to help defer a portion of program fees and/or transportation expenses. Please keep in mind that the Davidson Institute has seen an increase in the number of families applying and qualifying for FA; therefore, we must prioritize the distribution of funds we have available to assist families. FA awards never cover 100% of any expense.

Should your family need FA for your participant to attend the program, please email Summer@davidsongifted.org to request further information on how to apply.

The FA application process can take some time, and we encourage you to have your application completed prior to submitting your DSP application so notification of award status can be sent to you prior to the non-refundable deposit deadline of two weeks following your student’s acceptance notification. This deadline is crucial if your decision to attend is dependent upon FA.

Additional assistance may be obtainable through state scholarships. See this list for the state-specific scholarships geared toward younger gifted students.
