2024 Lottery Application Now Open!
Lottery applications can be submitted anytime between Monday, January 8 - Friday, January 26, 2024.
STARS is exclusive to students in the Young Scholar's program, ages 8 to 11. Applications from eligible students are submitted to a lottery system.
Step 1: Eligibility

Step 2: Submit the Application

Access the ONLINE APPLICATION
The application system is called CampInTouch. If your student has applied for or attended a Davidson Summer Program or the Young Scholar Summit since 2019, you already have an account. Please reset your password if needed, and do NOT create a new account.
The online application includes the following sections:
- Initial account setup or login
- Household information
- Student information
- Parent responses
- Student responses
- Acknowledgements and agreements
Submit a separate application for each child interested in attending. Our staff will review the information submitted in the application and follow up with any questions.
Families will be contacted no later than February 1, 2024 to confirm that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria and thus moved into the lottery.
Step 3: Lottery
Lottery Notifications
The lottery process will be conducted after the application closes. Each applicant will be placed in STARS or the waitlist depending on available space. Siblings will be entered as individuals. A select number of spaces will be reserved for first-time attendees. We will contact families by February 2, 2024 to notify of their Young Scholar(s) lottery status.
If your Young Scholar(s) is placed in STARS, a deposit of $500 is due by February 9, 2024 for each student to reserve their place in the program. If you choose to not complete the deposit payment by that date, we will offer the space to the next person on the waitlist. For additional details on fees, see the tuition and fees page.
Waitlist
Once all initial placements have been secured with the deposit payment due on February 9, 2024, waitlisted applicants will be notified by email of any vacant spaces in the program as they become available in the weeks following.
