THINK Summer Institute: Tuition and Fees

Fee Details for 2021

THINK program fees covers course credits, board, textbooks and class materials, laundry fees, and the cost of planned program activities. All fees are non-refundable. Additionally, participants are responsible for transportation to and from the program and spending money.

Application Fee

A $50 non-refundable application fee must be paid at time of application submission.

Deposit

We are delaying the deposit payment until Monday, April 5, 2021 due to the unique circumstances of this year. After receiving an acceptance email, your student’s place in the program will be reserved, but no financial commitment will be required until the deposit is due in April. No payments will be accepted until late March (exact date TBA). If you choose to not complete the deposit payment by April 5th, we will offer the space to the next person on the waitlist. Once all initial placements have been verified by April 5, waitlisted applicants will be notified of any vacant spaces in the program as they become available. 

Remaining Tuition

Remaining tuition balance is due at an assigned deadline in May.

Financial Assistance

The Davidson Institute for Talent Development provides financial assistance (FA) to families who demonstrate financial need for THINK. FA may be available to help defer a portion of tuition, and/or transportation expenses. Please keep in mind that the Davidson Institute has seen an increase in the number of families applying and qualifying for financial assistance; therefore, we must prioritize the distribution of funds we have available to assist families. Davidson Institute financial assistance awards never cover 100% of any expense.

Should your family need FA to attend the program, please complete the Financial Assistance Application concurrently with the Davidson THINK Summer Institute application and no later than March 1, 2021. This ensures that notification of award status can be sent to you prior to the deposit deadline of April 5, 2021. This deadline is crucial if your decision to attend is dependent upon FA.

Scholarships

Additional assistance may be obtainable through these national and state scholarships. Gifted associations or local business may also provide financial support or sponsorships to community members.
