2025 Fellow Finnegan McGill Earns Dual Honors for Service and Scholarship

2025 Davidson Fellow Finnegan McGill has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the Alliance of Therapy Dogs!

Finnegan has been a dedicated Junior Handler with his dog, Saya, since age 14, bringing comfort and connection to individuals in oncology treatment, substance abuse recovery, and memory care settings. He is also training a second dog, Teddi, as he works toward becoming a certified therapy dog team once again.

Through his work, Finnegan has learned the importance of listening first and meeting people where they are, lessons he carries into every visit.

In addition to this honor, Finnegan has been named a 2026 Flinn Scholar, earning a full-ride scholarship to an Arizona public university. He will attend the University of Arizona this fall to study Molecular and Cellular Biology.
