Davidson Young Scholar Maribelle Ganelis has published Return to Fairy Forest, the second book in her Fairy Forest Duology.
The sequel picks up more than a year after Rebecca completed her mission in Fairy Forest and learned new things about her past. Since then, she has thought of little else but going back. When a strange new student arrives at her school, Rebecca discovers the Fairy World has been changing without her, and a prophecy calls her back to finish what she started.
Rebecca and her friend Jesse must travel to places no fairy has been in centuries to find a blade and reach the Island of Roses. Along the way they face rivals, fearsome creatures and traps at every turn, while Rebecca learns to control her fairy powers before time runs out to save the Forest from eternal imprisonment.
The book is written for readers ages 7 to 14 and is available in paperback on Amazon.
Earlier this year, Maribelle shared her perspective on homeschooling in a TEDx Del Mar Youth talk, Homeschooling: The Reality Behind Myths and Misconceptions.
Congratulations, Maribelle! We can’t wait to see what you write next.
