Young Talents Lab Hosts Free Parent Info Session on Small-Group STEM Seminars for Gifted Learners

Families of accelerated and profoundly gifted learners ages 7-17 are invited to a free virtual parent info session for the Horizon Talent Fellowship, a series of live online STEM seminars from Young Talents Lab.

The fellowship is led by Dr. Amy Barr Mlinar, a former Ivy League professor, Caltech alumna, CU Boulder PhD, and co-investigator on NASA’s Europa Clipper mission. Each seminar is capped at eight students. Students explore advanced physical sciences and mathematical modeling through high-level conceptual discussion, guided critical thinking, and structured work at home.

Seminar topics include:

  • The search for life in our Solar System
  • Genetics and disease
  • Digital electronics
  • Dark matter and dark energy

Winter/Spring 2027 cohorts meet weekly from January 16 to March 6. Families can reserve a spot and select availability at tiny.cc/HorizonYTL2027.
