2026 Davidson Fellow Laureate Aditya Sengupta was featured by India Today and The CSR Journal after receiving a $100,000 scholarship through the Davidson Fellows Scholarship Program. The articles highlight Aditya’s development of ForeCAT, a machine-learning system that combines atmospheric physics and weather data to help predict clear-air turbulence—an often invisible and difficult-to-anticipate aviation hazard.
Inspired by his own experience with sudden turbulence during a flight, Aditya developed ForeCAT independently to explore how science and computing could support safer air travel. The articles also recognize his achievement as a Davidson Fellow Laureate and the potential for his work to inform future aviation forecasting and flight-planning decisions.
