It is application season here at Davidson! Because we know finding accessible, affordable testing can be a challenge, the Davidson Institute has partnered with Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development (CTD) to offer two different eligibility assessment opportunities—an official PSAT 8/9 (in-person) for 3rd-8th grade students and an official practice SAT (online) for 6th-10th grade students.
The following testing dates are currently OPEN for registration:

- March 4, 2023 (Saturday) at 8:00 am Pacific Time – Registration closes February 27!
March 5, 2023 (Sunday) at 8:00 am Pacific Time – Registration closes February 27!
- March 4, 2023 (Saturday) at 8:00 am Pacific Time – Registration closes February 27!
- Official Practice SAT Testing Dates
- February 18, 2023 (Saturday) 8:00 AM Pacific Time
- March 4, 2023 (Saturday) 8:00 AM Pacific Time
Though applications for Davidson Academy in Reno and Davidson Academy Online close on February 28, 2023, we recognize that there are a few testing opportunities, through both the Davidson-CTD partnership and through College Board, that fall shortly after the February 28th application deadline.
While applications for the Davidson Academy in Reno and Davidson Academy Online must be submitted by the February 28 deadline, both schools will be accepting test scores through March 31, 2023 in order to accommodate the early March test administrations.
For applicants interested in this option, please upload your test registration confirmation in the Qualifying Test Scores section of the application—indicating that you are registered to test in early March—to the application and submit by February 28, 2023.
Once you receive your test scores from your March testing date, please send them to the school you’ve applied for:
- If you’ve applied to Davidson Academy-Reno, please send your scores to applications@davidsonacademy.unr.edu. Be sure to include your student’s first and last name in your email.
- If you’ve applied to Davidson Academy Online, you will be assigned an additional upload task in the application.
