Davidson Gifted Summer Programs

Each summer, the Davidson Institute provides unique academic and social opportunities for highly gifted youth at the University of Nevada, Reno campus. Davidson gifted summer programs offer three unique options for gifted youths ages 8 - 16 to engage them academically and foster community connections.

STARS Summer Camp

Ages: 8-11
Length: 5 days
Overview:
The goal of the STARS Summer Camp is to provide our Young Scholars the unique opportunity to attend a five-day residential summer program focused on supporting their academic and social needs. Our bright students get the chance to build independence through fun, short experiences away from home.

REACH Summer Seminar

Ages: 11-13
Length: 6 days
Overview:
REACH Summer Seminar offers Young Scholars an academically challenging residential experience amongst intellectual peers on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. For those familiar with Davidson STARS Summer Camp and Davidson THINK Summer Institute, REACH bridges the experience between these two well-established and popular summer opportunities for profoundly gifted youth.

THINK Summer Institute

Ages: 13-16
Length: 3 weeks
Overview:
Our three-week residential gifted summer program, located at the University of Nevada, Reno, is designed to meet the needs of high-achieving students. We provide social connections with academically motivated peers, dynamic courses with the option to earn college credit, access to university resources, and memorable field trips and activities.
