Davidson Gifted Perspectives is a video series that examines a number of different gifted-related issues and viewpoints.
During a recent virtual event on how to enrich a student’s interest in history and social studies, a family mentioned that they have noticed that most public schools don’t offer accelerated history courses. They were wondering why it’s so challenging to find accelerated history materials for students at the depth that accelerated PG/2e students can handle and if it’s better to just stay within a grade level class and have deeper conversations with the student.
