Recently, a parent wondered how to telescope English Language Arts (ELA). During a recent virtual event, they shared that they have a 10 year old who will be in the 5th grade. She works a grade level ahead in math already (in a district that’s strict about acceleration), but is several grade levels ahead in ELA. Here’s our Director of Family Services (and former English teacher) providing her thoughts and suggestions.
